divorce woes

Hi been separated from my ex since september 2006 but still nowhere near conclusion of the divorce. It took until approx 3 months ago for him to stop ignoring my solicitors letters and instruct a solicitor. Now he hasnt paid his solicitor so they wont do any more work for him. He keeps moving house and not giving me his contact details and refuses to answer my texts or phone calls. Have offered mediation but he refuses to consider it. I only presume this is true because he just ignores letters about it. The marital home has been sold and the money (around £100K) is being kept in a trust account at the solicitors but neither of us can get at it. Would like to buy a new place but am stuck renting. Any ideas?

I don't know much about the legal side but isn't there something your solicitor can do for you? It seems odd your ex to be hasn't responded to any letters when his half of the money is waiting there in trust.
