I have been given this link to this website by my partner (great website btw) - she is a reasonably senior manager at Argos and as you say this site is well known....

i can get hold of the offer and sale leaflets about a week before the sale comes out (we're not meant to and i know someone who has been sacked for doing this!)

What makes you think that you are above this rule? You even brag that people have been sacked for releasing sales leflets early!! These prices and offers are competitor sensitive, hence the reason that it can lead to a disciplinary procedures. And as for offering to search for goods and reserve for people!!! ???

i am all for deals (my main reason for joining) and ways around any companies sales system. The 882 codes is a good example. Argos know these exist and its the publication on here that causes them to be closed - people get greedy, MIS reporting shows large increase, hence closed.

By offering this "service" to people, what do you think its going to achieve? A few people will get bargains - but it will make argos tighten up these loopholes. Also stop RO and similar offers to the public? Hence ruining it for the vast majority.

Disclosing sales offers before release is a serious issue @Argos (even giving out the new catalogue b4 due date warrants a disciplinary) and you better hope this thread "dissapears" asap
