I would definitely NOT recommend Kaupthing Egde!

Admittedlyit was me that made a mistake when setting up the online account.

Says it all really, you made the mistake then come on here blaming the bank.

I've have an account with KE for some time now and have not had any trouble at all, it does take a bit of time to setup, but as long you watch what you are doing there shouldn't be a problem.

    I would recommend them.

Am looking for an additional savings account. Any opinions about customer service, ease of online access etc for these two? Thanks.
Already got ICESAVE and Coventry BS.

I persevered with ICICI's HiSave for a long time, because of its consistently high savings rates, but customer service was appalling and showed no signs of improving.
I opened my first Icesave a/c in November 2006 and never looked back. Customer service has been excellent.

I've been with Kaupthingy almost since launch on 2 Feb 2008. Whole application process was completed online in 7 days from beginning to end. Like Icesave, ID is checked electronically, provided that you're on the electoral roll. It's still early days of course, but customer service has been good so far ;)
