in Credit cards
Hi all
I am new to this stoozing lark and need a bit of advice,
I have applied for a mint card and have been given a £4500 credit limit, when I applied it asked if I wanted to balance transfer, but only allowed it to other cards, will they send cheques for a super balance transfer?
What other card can I get that will let me do a super balance transfer with no fee?
The only debt I have (other than mortgage) is an £8000 over 4 years loan that has 2 years to go. Should I pay off the loan (4k left) and pay the £200 a month I am currently paying into my savings account with what’s left of my stooz cash?
Cheers

Mint will send you 4 Transfer and save cheques. Make them payable to yourself and deposit in your savings/current account.
Egg has no fees and allows SBTs.Should I pay off the loan (4k left) and pay the £200 a month I am currently paying into my savings account with what’s left of my stooz cash?
If you pay off the loan how are you going to repay the Mint card balance when the 0% runs out? ???0 -
Cheers
I already have an egg card, can i still do a super bt?
If not how long do i have to wait after cancelling the card before i can reapply?
Any other cards out there i can do in the mean time?
If i pay off my loan, the payments each month into my savings account will build up, until in about 18 months it will have payed back what i owe the card, so i just need to do a 0% bt when the mint one runs out. If they don't exist any more in 9 months time, i could just get a loan for the remaining amount. Think that would work. Just means i'm not paying any interest on the loan for 9 months, i think :-/0 -
Have you read this and this?
If your Egg card is still in 0% period then you can do an SBT until the 0% runs out. Depending on when you got your Egg card you may get another 5mths 0% on SBTs/BTs done in your anniversary month (ie. the anniversary of when you got your card. Have a look at the Egg site here and if in doubt ask them if and when you qualify.
You need to find out how much you will save if you pay your loan off - some loans have penalties for early repayment. It also depends on the interest rate you are paying - if its low it may be worth keeping. More info is needed!0
