When the 0% BT term ends

So I have used some SBT Cards to offset some of my mortgage. Thing is there are not that many credit cards that do SBt's now.
What happens after the 9 months of 0%? I obviously pay off the balance but i guess the credit card company are not going to offer another 9 months so what do I do?
Can i just close the card, wait a few months and then reapply as a new customer to get the 0% again?
