Does anyone know how much I'll get charged?
Their website simply states this:
Please use the Report a Problem tool to tell us what's happened. A Customer Service agent will be in touch with you to explain what will happen. Depending on the circumstances we may need to charge your account.

My guess is that they'll charge you for the missing disc.Milky_Mocha wrote: »Does anyone know how much I'll get charged?

Can you buy it cheap online? If so....I'm certainly not recommending you perform the classic manoeuver '1 - 2 switcheroo' 0 0

When I was with Lovefilm, I had a disk not turn up - I just reported it and they took no further action. I presume that if you have been a customer for a while and havn't had problems before they will look on you kindly.0

Same with me! One didn't turn up and I reported it and then nothing happened after. They seem to be pretty fair & trusting Wondering how to have a life & not rack up more debts...0 Wondering how to have a life & not rack up more debts...0

Problem is, its been missing for a couple of months now. They might ask why I hadn't reported earlier. I'm thinking of cancelling anyway as I rarely use their service and its money down the drain. The reason people don't move right down inside the carriage is that there's nothing to hold onto when you're in the middle.0

I'm wondering how much they would charge. I can get it cheap online but funnily enough they once accused me of sending them back a non-lovefilm DVD even though it was one they'd sent me. They agreed it was the same movie but something about all theirs have their mark, etc. I think someone did a switcheroo on them without their realising and they tried to pin it on me! That was a long time ago and I found it hilarious. The reason people don't move right down inside the carriage is that there's nothing to hold onto when you're in the middle.0

I'd be tempted to use the Report a Problem thing and see what they say. At worst they're gonna charge you a "high" price for the DVD, but that's not gonna be too much. And it beats the guilt of knowing you've lied to them 0 0

AFAIK The dvds they rent out are licensed for such use, if you replace a dvd with a shop bought one it is not licensed to be lent out I think. Also they all have individual barcodes on that are linked to your account so if you send back a dvd without a barcode it doesn't register as being returnedMy guess is that they'll charge you for the missing disc.

They once said one of my DVDs hadn't been returned. I had sent two in one envelope and the other arrived! They didn't seem to understand this point and got me to fill in a lost disc form for them to chase it up with the Post Office. I filled it in but wrote on the form that both discs were in the same envelope, so the "missing" one was probably missing at Lovefilm's side. Didn't hear anything afterwards.0
