Hi all,
This problem is driving me mad!! Hope SOMEONE can help??
I have ust installed a wireless (BELKIN ROUTER / CARDS), network at home. All seems to be fine except a few things....
First, ZoneAlarm Pro wont initialise since it installed (actually I think it did for the first day and then stopped) and MSN will now not load. It says something lke "default connection canot be established"
Now I know the MSN thing seems minor but with two teenage boys....!!
Please help - I understand that the Belkin router has an inbuilt firewall which may be interferring. I bouth this system becuase it automatically sets up - if I have to go fiddling I need fairly basic language!!
Thanks all.

If you are using Windows XP check to ensure that Universal Plug & Play support for your O/S is installed as well as Internet Gateway Device Discovery and Control Client. To add these features to your Windows XP O/S follow these steps;
Click Start, click Control Panel, click Add or Remove Programs, and then click Add/Remove Windows Components.
In the Components list, click Networking Services, click Details, and then click the Internet Gateway Device Discovery and Control Client check box. Then click the check box labeled Universal Plug and Play.
Click OK, click Next, and then click Finish.

erm,
Did all that but got stuck when I got to the part "Then click the check box labeled Universal Plug and Play. Click OK, click Next, and then click Finish."
There isnt one of those boxes.
There are onyl these:
Internet Discovery and Control Client (checked)
Peer to peer (checked)
Rip Listener (check)
Simple TCP/ IP Services (checked)
UpnP User Interface (checked)
Arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
??Jazz0 -
It's the UpnP User Interface (checked). It's looks like it's already installed so it's not that. Just check in Services that the UPnP service is started.

Could you walk me through this?
ThanksJazz0 -
Ok ,
Changed my router settings to allow UPNP Enabling in the system settings:
http://www.belkin.com/uk/support/tech/faqs_view.asp?view=specific&lang=en&stamp=5C5F5D
However, nothing has changed. Neither with MSN OR ZoneAlarm.
However, I have just noticed that my laptop has zoneAlarm running happliy.
Confused!
(I dont know how to set up the settings previously suggested)
What next?Jazz0 -
Further,
I have tried to reinstall ZoneAlarm and received this message (on the problem PC):
Setup is unable to log in to the True Vector Service. Install cannot continue without logging into the TrueVector service.
Please use the service manager to shut down the TrueVector service and then restart the installer program."
WHAT do I have to do, and what has gone wrong???Jazz0
