Hi all,
Just wondering if anybody has experience of this company? I bought some vouchers for a Christmas present for myself and some friends so the 4 of us could have a day out together. I've been trying for a week to get hold of the company on their telephone booking line, to book the day, but I either get an answerphone (last week) which says thank you for calling, leave a message and somebody will call you back; or it just keeps ringing and ringing (this week). I've just mailed them via their contact sheet from the website (which is still up and running). My next port of call is to email them on their info@ address. Warning bells are starting to ring... maybe they have ceased trading? Any ideas would be gratefully received.
Many thanks!

I have tried repeatedly on multiple phone numbers and email to get through to this company. I did so once around 1 month ago but was told their computers were down so couldn't take the booking. It was a single 2 minute call in perhaps 100 attempts to contact them.
They are behaving like a company that really doesn't exist anymore. I wouldn't pay anything for any of their experiences.0 -

I have just discovered they have gone into voluntary liquidation... so it appears I have lost my hard earned cash. I am pursuing recompense but as they have no assets it's not looking good. Speechless.Money Saving Smallholder #lovechickens0 -
We had a letter last Friday about these guys. They have gone into administration and the letter was from the administrator to advise us of the problem. Thankfully we could go back to the credit card company as it was over £100 and on the card.

Unfortunately mine was less than £100... So am I right in thinking that the credit card company won't entertain compensation?Money Saving Smallholder #lovechickens0

In law, yes. But try them, you've nothing to lose.I'm a retired employment solicitor. Hopefully some of my comments might be useful, but they are only my opinion and not intended as legal advice.0

Sorry to open up an old thread but I would like some advice on this company.
My boyfriend's dad bought him a voucher from this company last December (for a Christmas present). The company went into Liquidation in May and he received a letter to say contact your cc company for a refund. His dad was unble to get a refund from the card company as 120 days had passed (but the voucher was valid for 10 months!)
DaystoAmaze have now been bought by another company in June this year.
My boyfriend has enquired about using his voucher as he saw they are trading again but they have said that they are not responsible for the previous company's debt. Is this correct?
It doesnt seem fair that they say contact your cc for a refund when you only have 120 days to do that and the voucher is valid for 10 months and they went into liquidation AFTER the 120 days were up.
Thanks
Clairey
Here is the email from the company:
This is an automated email to make you aware that the company Days to Amaze Ltd went into liquidation in May. Vouchers purchased previously to 06/06/08 can no longer be honoured. You are advised to call your bank as soon as possible for a chargeback on the money paid for the voucher. Irrelevant of when your voucher was purchased, you were offered ten months validity and the company has been unable to fulfil that sale. Credit cards have insurance for these kinds of situations and a chargeback will be simple, if you paid by debit card be persistent, as many banks will honour it. We are a company who have taken over the days to amaze website since 6th June 2008, and we have only taken over purchases since that date and sadly have nothing to do with the previous debt of the company as we are a seperate legal entity to the previous days to amaze that you would have dealt with. We have put a new number up on the website, 0871 230
1008 and will be willing to answer any queries you may have, but feel this email should answer everything you need to know. Most importantly you should call your bank as soon as possible, but if you would like to repurchase the gift, please call Tara in the new Days to Amaze office and she will look into giving you a discount. Please don't hesitate to email any queries.
Kind regards0
