Hi
Does anyone know of a router or a utility which will give me easy access to a list of all the websites visited on our network.
Kind of like the Internet Explorer History feature but for the whole network.
For a very short while I had the
Actiontec Wireless router
This was the one which had a partnership with NTL.
The thing about this router was when you went into its interface it had a page which logged URLs or all websites visited I think it was refreshed real time.
So basically wondering whether any other routers have this feature or whether there is an alternative option.
I am currently using a
Linksys WRT54G
Thanks
P.S: Need to make sure the 11year old brother is not visiting sites he shouln't without being too intrusive on his internet experience.

Why not change the DNS numbers in your router to OpenDNS (see http://www.opendns.com/) and then all 'suspect' material will automatically be blocked and you can see which sites were blocked via the Control Panel (OPenDNS). Once set up, you can change your settings via the web, so can easily block sites on your home computer, like Youtube within 3 minutes!
Just remember to keep secure your router password secure!0 -
Thanks for that Vomityspice
I've made a note of that option.
For now though I would need to not have websites blocked but just to know what was visited in general.
Gosh I feel like Big Brother.... which I am :rotfl:0 -
Just worked through OpenDNS.
Would work great for what I need it for but at the moment under the
Stats
section for the
Domain
option it says
So for now thats out.The Domains report is disabled currently.
We'll add it back when it's faster.
Done a bit of searching and it seems as far as routers go that the Actiontec is possibly unique in the logging feature.

Thanks for that loaner.
The Linksys router firmware mod and WallWatcher utility is a great option something I wouldn't have been aware of without your post. :beer:0 -
