I know i was to blame

It's amazing what you can get through questioning.

So you know it's your fault and you want a bunch of flowers for it!

So you didn't mean this isn't a compensation thread but more this isn't a monetary compensation thread.

    How would you define mothering/mollycoddling!

Don't worry about the taxi fare costs unless a bill actually comes through the door......worry about it then.

Because by then you've blown your chances. That's it."

If you put your concerns in writing, they probably got the insurers involved as a matter of process - had someone else done the same thing and been seriously injured, it could have come to light that you had been in a similar incident and then it might have looked like they were covering it up. Also, had you decided to pursue them for compensation, it would have been better for them to notify their insurers in the first place - they did not know that you weren't going to try to make a claim and probably wanted to put their side of the story first.

As for wanting a bunch of flowers - from what you say they already paid for your taxi when you have stated that the accident was your fault. I think that's pretty generous, and I don't really understand why you think they should be making any apology to you when the accident was not due to their negligence?

All about? Anything with monetary value can be deemed compensation. Is that your high horse riding off into the sunset zztopgirl?
