Hi all,
I called Lloyds tsb today, haven't yet put in my claim for o/d fees as I thought I would wait till the end of the court cases etc, but my partner left me in march and since then I have been really struggling financially with things getting ontop of me, I eventually had to change all of my wages etc and get them paid into a basic bank account I opened with the halifax. Have 2 bank account, a loan and credit card with Lloyds tsb the only one that was upto date was the loan. I had a default notice from the collections centre regarding the credit card yesterday, so I called them and arranged to clear money owed for the last few months, then start a fresh with dd set up for regular monthly payments. Whilst I was on the phone as I had explained my situation etc she gave me the number for collections regarding my bank accounts and suggested I spoke to them. So half an hour ago I called the number, explained my situtation - as between the two bank accounts including my agreed o/d of £350.00 on one account I have in total £900 outstanding all made up of their overdraft charges luckily, as I thought at least if I am not using the accounts I wont inccur anymore! I spoke to a lovely friendly and extremely helpful lady who said she could see my financial situtation was very difficult so she put me on hold, went away and came back to let me know that in light of my circumstances they would be happy to refund me all of the bank charges I have occured as they have all been since things got bad with my partner in december and he eventually left.
In total they are refunding me £1750. Which obviously includes charges I had already struggled to pay off and now means I can also clear the oustanding balance on my credit card and have a couple of hundred pounds left over to treat my son!
I guess I could call myself lucky, as I really did get someone that was extremely understanding and willing to help! I am soooo chuffed!
I can finally sort myself out financially now and concentrate on making a good home for my son!
So a huge thanks to Lloyds tsb - In my experience I find them extremely helpful and will now be getting my wages and benefits etc paid back into my Lloyds tsb bank account!

That's great, well done!
I've tried this route with Lloyds though (I'm in dire debt and paying through the CCCS) and they don't seem to care one bit!0 -
