Hi Janey70,
I would think you would lose about 50% but that's just a guess. Have you tried ringing Tax Credits, they should be able to give you a good estimate.
Sorry I can't be of much help.I won't buy it if I can make or borrow it instead

Surely as you will still be able to get child benefit for her the WTC would stay the same. I know my 17 year old ( at college) still appears on my CTC details- I dont get WTC though0

hi
If your oldest child is doing a course under A level type qualification (non-advanced) , then you will still get ctc for her. You will need to inform them come anytime about June / July time that she will still be in FTNAE.
Check with the college on whether they class the course as non advanced and they will be able to advice you on level of course.
if she is on a non advanced course, then your money will stay the same as long as you advice them .0 -
Janey, call TCO helpline and tell them she is continuing in full time non-advanced education (as long as it is not advanced of course).
They will automatically continue payments for her from 1st September, once you have notified them it will still show on your awards that her payments end on 31st August but once this date has passed you will get a new award.
The Tax Credits system doesnt recognise that she has stayed in full time education until 1st September, this is why your award wont change until this date.0 -
Don't forget to apply for the ema too-I thought it would be automatic as they knew my circs and I ended up losing the firat 5 weeks for my eldest.Tomorrow is always fresh, with no mistakes in it!0
