PVR recording to DVD

I have a Thompsom box but require to copy to a dvd some files. Cheaply is there a way using my laptop for the connections.

As I recall it's only got Scart sockets & RF out so you'd have to have a Laptop that can take video in or add a box to your laptop that can do video capture
It's a lot easier to buy a cheap DVD recorder and connect that Scart to Scart create DVDs that way0
