investing in palestine !!!

ok i know how bad this may sound but investing in palestine !!!

is this a logical conclusion

as the peace process moves forward ! and finally a palestinian state is created there will be massive influxes of cash to rebuild !! surely it would be a good time to invest in palestne.

of course its very risky just wondered what everyone else thought ??

Out of interest is this the only issue you write about. Anyway, yes if you beleive in peace then invest in Israel adn the Palestinian Territories. Absolutely sound economic conditions are a precursor to a lasting peace. However, if you believe in making money (which is what this website is about) then I woldn't invest in Palestine and I would be careful about which Israeli companies you invest in - although world leaders in telecommunications nad IT this is a risky sector!

Not much point in investing until theres peace, since any thing built will probably be blown to bits by the Israelis sooner or later.
  • It is all a sham the problems are yet on its way investing in Palestine is not a wise idea, however considering that Gaza needs all amenities and facilities now that they have restricted entries and exits perhaps the governments and the public could invest in providing palestinians with a meaningful future, not as debt or savings or for returns.

It worked both ways-let's be honest, but Israelis either appropriated everything that belonged to Palestine or just destroyed Palestinian lives and property.

The posts above have been made in good faith, why the need to demoralise?

I think this was quite an honorable thought Blinko excepting the fact that Palestinian lives are still not safe leave out their property and assets. So in terms of investment like deemy points out, it could be too risky to consider as it stands.

  • Eastern Europe is probably a better bet for somewhere that is going to boom soon. Look at Ireland/Spain after they joined the EU.
