Credit reference file correction

in Credit cards
Hi - my divorce was through 3 months ago, and I have a Court Order relating to property transfer to my ex/lump sum settlement to me.
We took out a joint mortgage 5 years ago, but I have not contributed to it for 15 months and the Court Order has given me indemnity until it is transferred into my ex's name. However, it is still on my credit reference and is completely screwing my credit score as the payment is about the same as my current income! I am coming to the end of a 0% and am after a LOB to get rid of a loan as well, via Egg Money.
My ex is out of work so is unable to remortgage into his sole name, and understandably the mortage company will not remove my name.
If I put a note of correction on my file explaining this, would it be sufficient to convince credit card companies I am credit-worthy? (I am apart from this). I have already obtained disassociation.
Any advice very welcome!
Mel.

Though no-one can go back and make a brand-new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand-new ending.

Possibly, but all the NOC will do is mean your applications are reviewed manually and not automatically. You still have to convince the underwriter...and you could possibly do that in an appeal letter, rather than via the NOC.If I put a note of correction on my file explaining this, would it be sufficient to convince credit card companies I am credit-worthy?
How do you mean?...in everything but the mortgage?I have already obtained disassociation.0 -
I contacted CreditExpert explaining thesituation and asking for my ex to be removed as an "Associate", which they have done. They said they would inform the other ref. agencies, but Equifax still show him.YorkshireBoy wrote:How do you mean?...in everything but the mortgage?
I was relieved to have the disassociation - closure and all that! - but the down side is that the mortgage is just shown on CreditExpert as the only active account I have (oddly, NONE of my 3 credit cards and loan account show up, though they do on Equifax).
