Tax Credit and Disability Allowance

I am a lone parent with three children. The eldest is 12 years old. I do not work therefore have been on Income Support for the last 4 years. Last year i was awarded High Mobility Rate and Low Care Allowance of Disability Living Allowance. Due to this i receive extra on my Income Support. My children are not disabled.

I am completing a renewal form for Tax credit. As far as i know the monies i get from Income Support does not count as Income. What i get from DLA does it count as Income?

Thanks in advance for those who replied.
Problem with having access to internet is that i get asked by many to solve their problems :( Well at least i learn something on the way :D

No, DLA is not taxable and therefore not counted as far as the Tax Credit people are concerned.

Wont you have a problem come October time when a 12yr old no longer entitles you to IS?

Will you just be transferred to IB, but i believe that too is changing to make you find work that you can do, not what you cant.

Oops, should have read the eldest, i take it you have younger children that will still entitle you to IS (Well until they move the threshold down again anyway)
