in Credit cards
Hi Guys,
I have a credit card which I am £19.99 in credit on, but I don't use it,, if i close the card down, would I get the money back?
Stupid questionI know but you never know with banks and credit companies these days!!
But I am thinking of getting another 0% card to help pay off the other halfs bank loan which has an extortinate apr on it, and they won't let us pay off lump sums, its either monthly totals or the whole amount!!
I have applied for a couple card since xmas, but have been tnred down, I am not sure why, as I only pay they gym and car loan from my aco!!!!! I was thinking maybe its because I have a credit card already, that was stopping me form getting another one!
looking forward to hearing your suggstions

Yeah you'll get your £20 back. Ask them to send you a cheque or transfer it to your bank account.
Try MBNA Platinum for good 0% rate.0 -
Be careful about leaving your cards in credit. You're naturally not liable for fraudulent use if there's an outstanding balance on your cc and the card is stolen and used fraudulently, provided of course you report it as lost as soon as you find out. However, if there's any credit on the card and that's used up by the thief, it's not the bank's money, it's yours and you'd have lost it for good.
Ring up the bank and ask for a Credit Balance Refund, they'll put the sum into your current account. Actually, you don't even have to close the account in order to get the CBR.0
