I like everybody get fed up with their savings rate going down but new savers getting a much higher rate.
I have an ING account, its now 4.75% I think.
Can I close it down and then re-apply for the 6% the new savers get.
I like ING, but I will leave them and thats a shame.

That rate doesn't deserve any loyalty IMO.
You can do better than 6% too.0 -
Although I am in ING saver, I did close one account with them yesterday, but it was just a general question really about any bank.
Can you close an account on say 4.75% and than rejoin on 6%. ?
Or would they refuse you the higher rate?0 -
You can't generalise on 'any bank' - it would depend on the terms & conditions imposed on specific accounts, rather than which institution is offering them.Although I am in ING saver, I did close one account with them yesterday, but it was just a general question really about any bank.
