CD ROM Problem

Help Please
For some weeks I have been using a CD rom to play a game on my laptop. Today however instead of aotomatically starting the game I am taken into a list of files on the CD none of which when clicked start the game. I have tried the CD on another computer and it works fine.
Can anyone give any advice ?

  • Is there not a file called autostart or autoplay?

sounds like you may have switched the autoplay feature off on your laptop. have you got any other discs that will automatically start doing something when loaded (windows or office cd's do for example) - try them and if they also do nothing when inserted then have a look at the following link: http://www.annoyances.org/exec/show/article03-018

it's actually showing how to turn the feature off but just follow the steps and select the 'on' / 'enable' options instead :)
