Quick ATM Question

Yes Mr Paranoid himself is back :rotfl:

Just wanted to see if this is the norm/has happened to anyone else.

I went and used an atm in my bank (reputable well know one) Put my card in and it said the following "Balence......Withdrawel UNAVAILABLE Withdrawl with statement UNAVAILABLE" so basically I clicked balence and it gave me my card back....just never had that before!
Anyway I put my card then in the machine next to it and that was fine,I pressed how much I wanted to withdraw but it took about half a minute untill it finally changed from please wait to giving my cash.......been a long hot day here and thats just got me thinking anything strange going on,should I be worried or is this simply a case of no sleep + paranoia??:o

They could have been balancing or re-stocking the first machine.

    Luiz,

Was it Halifax by any chance??
As i went into a branch also today, and when using their machine to deposit monies, it took my card, and nothing happened! I couldn't even get my card back.
I went to queue to speak to somebody, and when queuing, i saw to next screen coming up. But it took at least a minute for that to happen!

When i then used one of their normal ATM's to check my balance, that also took longer then normal.

So maybe Halifax was doing some maintenance on their network or systems?

Don't think you have anything to worry about here.

Either the first machine had developed a fault or it was simply empty and awaiting re-filling with crisp new notes.
