has anyone found it possible to book the flight that is shown on the thomascook .com web site . we spent days checking the t/cook .com kept getting the quote and a ref number but try to book online, but it wont go to the next stage . soi phoned only to be told by the sales advisor a much more higher almost 50% more . i went back online to check and that the was still showing at the one first quoted . this i did for days the price even dropped , but it would not allow you to get to the booking stage . i phoned and got the same reply from the sales advisor they can not give the online quote . in the end we had to book or loose the flight . i belive this is a scam by thomascook .

It certainly is a scam by Thomas cook! We tried to book a 3 week all inclusive holiday. It was a good price- about 50 quid more than the 2 weeks leaving on the same flight. We couldn't book it online either, so went to a TC travel shop and tried to get it from them. Same story- they can see the holiday but couldn't book it on their system.
Personally i think its a ruise to get people into a shop and to try to sell them more expensive holidays by saying that that one has sold out when infact it never really existed.
We votes with our feet and booked elsewhere.July Win: Nokia 58000 -
In 95% of cases the stores can match the online price. They even had a promo recently to that effect.
Maybe the sales assistant needed to get a manager to authorise it?
(or the specific deal was unavailable as sold out - it is illegal to advertise unavailable holidays and TC are one of the reputable Travel agents)0 -

That's what we've done for our last 2 holidays, found the holiday we want online then go into the shop and say that's what we want please......0 -
No the problem isn't price matching (well not in my case anyway) When searching for a holiday I found a particular deal, so I entered my deatails and when i tried to pay for it, It came up with an error page. So we went in store to get that holiday - they tried to book it for us and they too got an error page on their system. However I knew for a fact that flights and accommodation was still available.July Win: Nokia 58000
