Instant on-line decisions

Does Liverpool Victoria or HBOS credit cards offer instant on-line decisions as to whether they will be issuing a credit card or not?

Liv Vic give instant decisions on loans, not sure about their cards but try an application and see.

For the HBOS One cards on-line application they say they'll usually let you know in a minute if you've been approved. However I applied in March, and my husband applied last week, and we didn't get an instant decision in either case (although we did get the cards!) ???
