Egg Card anniversary offer

I've had an Egg Card for a couple of years. I signed up for it in February '06, and this year in mid-February I took advantage of their "anniversary offer" which allows you to make a balance transfer to your Egg card which will be interest-free for six months.

I just wrote to Egg to clarify whether the six-month period dates from the beginning of February (i.e. through the end of July) or the date that I made the transfer (up to mid-August). I was told that my interest-free period will expire on 1 July and I will be charged interest from that date. Whichever way you count, that's not six months!

Before I challenge them on this, I thought I'd put the question here in case there's a simple explanation. Anyone had a similar experience?

[edit] I'm an idiot, I just looked at the Egg terms again and it quite clearly says five months. Mods can you delete this thread?
