O.k the story so far.

Thanks to some help from the techie thread I managed to get rid of a virus winfixer 2005. The trouble is now my computer is running so slowly. I seem to have lost all information relating to my email accounts, ie all of my received emails have been wiped. no sites recognise my sign in information, and I am going to throw it out of the window very shortly.

What have I done. have I wiped too much information or is it to do with the virus. It was running better before I removed it!!!

Dont know anything about the history of your prob but..sounds like you may have logged on with a new or different identity, have a look around documents and setting to see if you recognise and folders that could be your profile. If your profile has been damaged and you are on a fresh one, it may still be possible to copy over the /documents and settings/jobloggs over to you new profile.
