hi
i have my wage paid into a barclays current account.
as soon as iam paid, i take all the money and drop it into the online barclys e-saver (just the click of a button and its instant)
however, with the introduction of this new 'fast transfer' scheme i would like to be able to lump my pay into the halifax high interest account.
now, how fast is this 'fast transfer' thing...... i would need to be able to transfer cash from barclays to halifax ( and visa versa) within the same day...will this be possible, if so, when will it all be set up?
cheers

Well the "fast transfers" became active yesterday with LloydsTSB, I don't know if it's the same time with all the banks though. I had an alert on the screen when I signed into my online account. The alert stated that in most cases the money would be deposited in the recipients bank almost immediately, and should show up in the recipient's bank account within 2-3 hours.0

My Barclays goes into the new Halifax £500 Regular Saver instantly, but not the other way where it uses the typical BACS timings.0
