Amazon.co.uk Replacement and Return

Having received an order of two items yesterday, I found that one of the items had been damaged in transit. I've been through the returns process, requested a replacement, printed the return labels and have the package ready to return.

The replacement that I have requested is at the Dispatching Soon stage, and has been for 18 hours.

Should I wait for the item to dispatch before returning the damaged item, or send it now anyway, and hope that they'll send the replacemnt soon?

Many thanks in advance

I’d send it back now, it’s no use to you – it’ll make no difference to whether the replacement is dispatched.

If for any reason they can’t dispatch the replacement you’ll get a refund – but not until the damaged one is returned.
