Tuesday 3/06/08 What small dfw things have you done today???

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free.
Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important.
Anyway today i have/will

Morning EO & Sophiesmum, & all whon follow today :hello: (EO, that's a good name, it always lifts my spirits
)
Well I had a good start to June with my e-bay sales, but I've put the wrong postage on a few of the items (didn't put it back up for the ones I send recorded after listing a cheapie
) But although I'll lose 50p each time, I should get positive feedback on the P&P :rotfl: (trying to be optimistic here) and the items went for more than £20 each
So today I have/will- NOT walked into work  but blamed it on the weather and the e-bay parcels I needed to bring.
- Brought in a packed lunch - HM bread, HM Ham

- Done my piggy clicks
- charged phone at work
- will post 2 of the parcels. Waiting for payment on one parcel - 9 items in it, and waiting for an e-cheque to clear.
buyer thinks it is immediate, e-bay say 6-9 days. I've told buyer, but he may get cheesed off. - Will contact Inland Revenue re OH's tax refund. (He's appointed me as his agent so they WILL speak to me......I hope)
- Another NSD - hope to make it through the week..........

Morning all
Thanks Eternal Optimist
now looking forward to the next big lump off, I wish paydays came quicker! I think once you're into this debt paying off business, the payments are the best bit of the month instead of the worst :j
- just updated spreadsheet from internet banking, I may be v short this month
but only 24 days to go  - brought in brekkie and lunch
- read free local paper eating said brekkie
- will try and make it a no spend day though am thinking about a lunchtime double decker already (how 80s am I?!)
- will need to start thinking about a few eBay and amazon sales to tide me over this month

A while since I've posted but its been a good day so far.
1. Switched my energy provider to a capped rate till Oct 2009, did the switch through quidco and earned tesco points on it.
2. Even though the 'cupboard was bare' I still managed to rustle up something for a free lunch.
Has anyone else tried this - turn your mobile off at night, the alarm clock will still go off in the morning but you end up charging it up less.
I have to ring the mortgage company this afternoon to get my renewal quote, so fingers crossed plase.01/08/09 - Honeymoon credit card - 0% £2500 - personal OD £350 - DFD May2010Done it once, will do it again - DFW 5340 -

Have been very naughty on the breakfast & packed lunch front today so will have to make up for it in other areas. Can't think of much, though - today's list is quite short:
- Cycle to/from station instead of taking bus
- Sort out new credit card paperwork (didn't get this done yesterday)
- Remember to buy milk on way home so that I can have breakfast at home tomorrow

- Hunt out BS passbook so that I can withdraw money tomorrow to pay off part of credit card

Good Morning everyone, a very wet miserable morning here

Today I've done piggy clicks, trawled the freebies board, counted my 2p pot and had the money swapped (£4
) and now I am in the house all day so will be a NSD for me today. I am only going to venture out at 3 o clock to fetch DS from school.
Considering ebaying some stuff but a bit reluctant after previous bad experience (horrible man...)
Oh, and will make store cupboard lunch
Have a nice day everyone, don't get too wet in the rain...
