Has anyone else received a renewal form with 4 steps that say is this correct, did you earn this, are you going to earn this?
Result do nothing we will renew your tax credits.
Every other year I have had to fill in the form and get it back by 31/7. This year no form just four questions that I answer yes to and have to do nothing. Yet on the adverts it says renew by 31/7 or else!
Thanks

Do you just get basic tax credits? I have never had to return a renewal as we only qualify for basic tax credits of £42 (1 child) and only have to respnd if we earn over the threashold.
Did notice it says next year payments will be £39 - thought they went up a few pence not down a few pounds!0 -
It is called an auto renewal. It will ask if you earn between a lower limit, which can vary for each different applicant, and an upper limit of £50k for last year and £75k for this year.
As long as none of your circumstances have changed then as it says, do nothing as you will just continue to receive the same amount.
Daisy, if your household earnings are roughly around £50k your award will decrease a little bit for next year - if not then I dont have a clue why it is showing as reduced but bear in mind it is a provisional amount and is likely to change at some point.0
