  • Hi, I'm currently just finishing the course you want to do. To be honest, you don't go into much detail in anything in particular! I chose software (programming) over hardware (networking). I was rubbish at programming, but hated networking and hardware. I had a C in maths at GCSE and that did me fine.
I think that when you pick what you want to do (software or hardware) at the end of the first year, just pick what you've enjoyed most. Because you can do any computer related degree at uni if that's what you want. I'm going on to do a teaching degree at uni so the computing qualification didn't make a difference.
Not making the course sound bad or anything but I know I couldn't go off now and do anything I've learnt (except a bit of database/excel stuff) and I'm going to come out with a pretty good grade. So I wouldn't worry about how good you're gonna be or anything. If you have any questions feel free to send me a message :)
