It works! I got mine whilst I had some time spare whilst waiting for a train.

    I got:
    - Free 45p Mars bar
    - 40p off a bottle of Coke Zero

I did have to take the shop guy through the process, even though he was displaying the ShopScanSave sticker in the shop door!

It also took a VERY long time... by the time the ticket printed out for an 85p credit, the shop guy just took it and said I could also have the coke free too, as the queue had built up behind me and he just wanted to get on and serve them.

So, make sure you have enough time, patience and understanding how the system works (see links in previous posts), or this might not work for you.
  • on registering you can get yourself a free chocolate bar :j

SHOP SCAN SAVE sends you text messages with money saving offers typically every three weeks. Offers are redeemable at participating PayPoint outlets. It is easy to redeem offers; just show your SHOP SCAN SAVE membership ID on your mobile phone at the counter where the PayPoint signage is located in-store. The retailer will scan your membership ID on your mobile phone and scan the product(s) on offer. The retailer will verify the offer(s) and the discount applied to your shopping.

The other week i signed up to a freebie site & received a text message to my phone which sent me a bar code.
It was for a free bar of dairy milk chocolate costing 49p :D
All i had to do was go to any paypoint shop, show them the barcode (number) and i would get the chocolate.
I did get it...but it came as a total shock & news to the assistants.
Makes you wonder really that do the shops even know about these things?
I want everything for free :money:

I gave up. The people in my shop haven't got a clue. They tried all the different buttons on the machine and none of them would accept it. I ended up paying :(

  • We have a paypoint machine at the shop where i work. Dont mind doing the electric, gas and phone vouchers but its going too far. People can now start up their tv license on the damn thing now. This takes us about ten minutes to set up on the checkout and causes queues. I signed up to work in a shop and now seem to be undertaking jobs a post office or bank would be doing.
