Can I text someone and withold my number?

    can you not get a free sim and text from that?

    That way your number isn't given out - just the one you text from

    Well, there's not much I can do about that really, so best not worry huh?!

    I just know of someone who's been in a similar situation, and then had threatening phone calls to their mobiles, blackmailing them for items of worth.
