Body work

Hi,
I need some car advice. I bought my car 3 years and its 8 years old now. I have dented the driver door and there are more than a few scratches on the front and back bumper. One guy who quoted for the body work at £850. And the front light is damaged and I need to replace that too.
I am not sure if I should get the work done or if I get a new car. I spent £3000 3 years ago on this car and I am not sure how much it is worth now.
Any ideas on what I should do? Please help....

The quickest way to double your money is to fold it in half and put it back in your pocket.

Replace the light and forget about the body work. Too many people don't give a flying f*** about other people's property so no doubt if you get it sorted out you'll soon get dents in the supermarket and be annoyed all the more by them.0

or you could get the dent sorted with a smart repair company if the paint isnt damaged, and give the car a good wash and polish to try and take out the scratches....work permit granted!0
