Good Evening Fellow Readers...

I have been looking on the forums for a few days now and been trying to sort out my credit rating / Payments to Creditors etc....

A few months ago i ran up a Vodafone Bill which i couldnt pay, to cut a long story short they cut me off sent me a few letters. As i was working aboard i never opened the letters as it got sent to my parents address at the time.

When i got back i found that Vodafone had cancelled the Agreement and sent it to a credit Agency Called Wescot Credit Services. I cannot remember what paper work Vodafone had sent. The only Invoice i have is a Final Notice Demand from Wescot Credit Services for £280.29 + £80.00 Legal Fees.. Which i paid in Full..

Ive noticed tho that Vodafone have put a default on my credit file, however it still says Unpaid. Even tho i have now paid in full over 4 months ago, However it doesnt mention Wescot Credit Services on my credit File.

Should the Default still be there even tho its been paid?
How long does it stay on my file for?

Any Replies will be great.

Thanks for Reading

Richard

The default will be there for 6 years but by now should be shown as settled.
Contact Wescot first and if you get no joy Vodafone asking them to correct.

If all fails you can contact the CRA yourself and get them to amend their records.

Just give all the info that you have, account numbers, date paid up etc. I had this problem so I phoned the company involved and sorted it out over the phone.
