Citroen Synergie- find the fuel filter!

Hi can anyone tell me where the fuel filter is on a Citroen Synergie, please? It's a 2ltr diesel. I have a new filter-but can't find where it goes. The manual doesn't show it.

not sure where it will be located but remember to fill the filter with fresh diesel before fitting if its a canister type.
follow fuel lines from the tank and they should lead to a filter.

Goldspanners, that sounds like I should take it to a garage. I haven't tinkered with a car's innards since my s reg Triumph Dolomite in the mid eighties. Things have got WAY more complicated since then. As I may need a change of oil and an oil filter before my Italian tune up to get rid of my black smoke problem, I think I'll just pop it in to someone who's not going to make a big mess. Thanks anyway.

Nothing complicated about a fuel filter. Fill it with diesel, pull the old one off, new one on, and crank until it runs smoothly. There may be a primer, not sure about that one.

Make sure the battery is fully charged before you do the job, or you may flatten it from cranking.
