premium bonds

Hi
i remember when i was younger seeing what i think were preminum bonds (prize bonds??) in my mums name.
i know for a fact that she never won anything and we do not know now where they are (mum is alive just has moved so often that things got misplaced!)
Is there anyway of finding our what she had and whether they are still worth anything for her?
Thanks
:o

    Hi there,

Sorry, tried to get this for you yesterday but the NS&I site wouldn't load - they have a tracing service here.

What you need to do (as I was in a similar situation) is write a letter to their Blackpool head office saying that the bonds are lost but in the letter try and give them as much detail about your mum's previous addresses - then just ask them to send you a statement of account.

    Hope this helps!

Dont be too optimistic. If you dont have the actual bonds its quite hard to get them to give the face value.

Dont expect to pick up any wins that she may have had.
:o Keep trying.........................what else is there to do? :o
