Goldfish credit limit increase...

in Credit cards
Hi,
I have a Goldfish CC with an original credit limit of £ 500. I have had the card for about 3 months, and paid the balance off in full twice already.
Does anybody know when I would be eligable for a credit limit increase? Does this happen automatically, or do I need to phone up for this?
Also any thoughts on how much they would increase it to?
Thanks a lot!

Normally CC companies like to see 6 months of use before they will entertain the request of a credit limit increase - this can happen automatically.0

Hi Gerrynimo,
Goldfish has changed big time over the last few yeasr.I have been with Goldfish for sometime now and a few years ago they used to put up my limit without telling me. I would get my bill and there it was another £500+ amount to spend with them.
They have gone the other way now and started to cut the limit now without warning. Last year I had over £1,000 left on the card then out of the blue it was taken off me and the balance of the debt was all I had left on the card. To be honest it wasn't a bad thing really :rotfl:
I have tried to move this card amount twice now in six months and been told sorry no thanks both times. Tonight was the second time I was knocked back, they actually said no because I have a mortgage!!! and one credit card (which I was trying to move to them  )
To be honest do you really need the extra amount? I MEAN REALLY??
Don't get me wrong I don't owe thousands and thousands.I have not spent on this card in over a year and pay £90 per month for only £14 of the £90 to come off the balance, hence the transfer request.
Not telling you what you should do but think hard before wanting that extra increase.0 -
Thanks a lot, guys!
For some weird reason, the "Thanks you"-button doesn't show, but your feedback is much appreciated!
