Shoe Shopping Savings: 75% off at Dolcis, 15% off at Faith, 15% off at Office & more

What's the deal?

A good selection of shoe retailers are offering discounts online or in-store so, if you're after a particular pair of shoes, check to see if you can slash the cost down to the bone. Including 75% at Dolcis and 15% off Faith shoes.

It's important to check you're eligible to use it. All the vouchers below have been checked out for legitimacy.

What's on offer?
  • 75% off at Dolcis, in-store.

Since it went into administration earlier in the year, the company that took over Dolcis has slashed the price of all its goods in order to speedily shift stock. Now, as only a handful of stores remain, the last of the shoes have been cut down by 75%.
In fact, MoneySaver sweetnothings has reported bargains for as little as £2, so if there's still a branch near you, it might be worth popping in to see if a bargain can be had.

How to get it: Look out for a Dolcis store near you. If you manage to save big report below where the Dolcis is and what you bagged!

UPDATE 05 June 08: At the time of writing this post the checkout delivery fee showed as free for purchases of £20 and over (before discount). This has since been changed on Faith's website so regardless of spend, all orders will incur a minimum £5 charge. I hope this clears up any confusion posted below.

Many of these shoes have £100+ price tags attached, but if you've set your heart on buying a pair from here - and can afford it - at least you can save a fraction of the cost.

The cheapest delivery option is £1.95 which will take three to five working days to get to you.
Thanks to all the MoneySavers who suggested the discounts above.

My sister bought 3 pairs of shoes from Aldo online. 2 arrived together and the 3rd arrived over a week later.

After deciding that the neither size ordered was the right fit she decided to take them back to her local store Southampton (a 25 min drive away). This went smoothly, however the money had to be refunded by the Aldo online system.

When the 3rd pair arrived these also weren't suitable and she sent these back via a courier.

After 3 weeks of not hearing anything, she tried to contact Aldo, their website only lists a Canadian address and telephone number for customer services. but after emailing them found out that the Canadian number is actually a uk one when you dial it (but nothing states this on the website).

It turns out that that the returns department rely on the warehouse informing them of the returns received and don't process anything without being told. They don't chase anything and only if you the customer chases them do they start to act in anyway proactively.

I still don't think my sister has received her refund and has now put a dispute on the payment with her credit card.

A totally shoddy outfit by all accounts. beware
  • the office website wont accept the discount code mentioned above unless you use capital letters, will say invalid code otherwise!
  • Dolcis is still open in Manchester city centre - well its actually just further up the street now where Shelleys shoe shop used to be next to Boots - you go upstairs and its upto 75% off - I was there on monday and got a fab pair of barrats blue leather court shoes for work for £6 reduced from £45!! Bargain!!!

Following on from the mention about a not too good experience with Aldo online, I thought I'd share mine (and this is the short version!).

I ordered a pair of boots for £85 (were £100 but I had 15% off for signing up to their newsletter). They arrived quickly but with scuffs on. I wanted another pair, not a refund but apparently they don't do that. You have to have them refunded then buy them all over again. So what about my 15% discount code that could only be used once!

They had been dispatched from one of the Oxford St stores. I tried endlessly to phone the customer services number but could never get through and when selecting certain options, the language changed to French as it was Canada based and several options just cut me off. I emailed 8 times and once got an automated reply which just told me to call the number! I called the store and they were really helpful and said that if in a few days I still had no joy they would try and help me if I called back.

3 weeks later I finally got an email back telling me to return them by courier - didn't tell me how though. Another week went by before I got an email (after me sending more) with a courier ticket and a discount code for when I bought the replacement pair. By this time I had given up and paid to have them spruced up at a shoe repairers.

All in all terrible online customer service - email and phone, but very helpful stores. After all this I sent a final email to express my dissapointment and never got a reply!

    Hi all,

I have just been notified of this thread and would like to clear up something regarding the free P&P quote above. Faith are not offering free P&P for orders of £20 and over. I am not sure where this information came from but free P&P over £20 is not part of the offer or in our postage terms.

I hope this clears up the confusion.

    Many thanks

    Hi Diane,

please see my reply to the original posting. Faith do not have a free P&P offer running at the moment, I do not know where the information was taken from.

    Sorry for any confusion.

    thanks
