I am sooooooooo angry with BT having been trying to get a line with them now for weeks, cant get cable in the road otherwise believe me I wouldnt go down this route.
I called to say I could see a line to the house but no connection boxes, so was told 130 for fitting it, booked it all then got a call to say my line would be activated in 2 days, I said I needed the boxes, and an engineer, made another 4 or five calls, an engineer was arranged, they didnt turn up because apparently I dont need one the line is activated, I am at the end of my tether now does anyone have a number i can complain to directly I am sick of speaking to call centres in India, I feel i should be offered some compensation as I took the day off work today and have had a waste and still have no phone or broadband.........

If you have been given an activation date for your line and it's been more than 2 weeks you should be able to claim compensation. Last time i checked it was 1 months rental for every day you do not have service. But it only starts from the day you ask for compensation. It's happened to me once when moving.
It took them 2 months to enable my line at the exchange (they had no spare room at the exchange so I had to wait for new equipment to be fitted). I registered my complaint and request for compensation as soon as i could and i got a nice big cheque for around £650
(infact i got 2 for £650 both from the same department but diffrent people) I cashed them both but kept one untouched in an account for 6 months to see if they noticed
they didn't
:D
so get it on record ASAP that you want compensation!Laters
