how to change my location?

A friend has just been suspended for policy breaches relating to her shown location and I want to change mine quickly in case someone is out there trawling through them all, and I can't see where on earth to do it. We live in a London borough so we both ( as did everyone else we know that sells on ebay and lives locally) have 'London' for our location but apparently this is no longer accepted by ebay who said that her postcode does not tally with 'London' ie the city and so she got suspended.

Obviously she is arguing with ebay as we are London but I thought I might change mine just in case. Incidentally my about me page does have my real address and post code as per business regulations.

can you not do it on your actual individual sale listings page. Under the buy now/ auction bit it shows location....best change mine too then!

I'm actually trying to change my registered location under personal info, and it's that I can't seem to do.

Is it not under summary , my account on the left and then addresses? mine is .It has contact address, registration address and postal address.

My postal address registered with ebay is correct but at some point i had to add my location to show up in searches and many years ago I just put 'London' and that comes up all the time now automatically.

I have some stuff going up tonight so I will fiddle about with the listings to see if it is on there. Probably if I stopped panicking I could work it out, but having seen the emails she got I am a bit worried.

Im sure that the one you mean is the one contained in the listings which is on the "give buyers p & p details" i say that as due to the really abusive local texts that i have had regarding a rare game im selling i listed myself up north so he wouldn't know it was me and find out where i lived.

Ebay really are doing some annoying things. London is london. As long as your registered and contact address are correct what is the problem. Ooohh they make me mad!

I couldn't believe it myself, the first mail she got just referred to policy breaches and it took several attempts to get them to say what breaches..and they came back with a generic email about item location matching registered zip codes, or something.

They have agreed to a temp ban only and she should be back on in a week, as long as she has no other warnings in that time.

Greater London adds BR1-7, CR0,2,4,5,7-9, DA1,5-8,14-17, EN1-5, HA, IG1-7,8,11, KT1-6,9, RM (except part of RM4), SM1-6 (except part of SM2), TN14,16, TW, and UB (except part of UB9)

I live in a London borough and am allowed to vote in the London mayoral elections.

I wonder if putting Greater london might help..assuming I can change it..but will that be any less confusing?
