  • Ok, will read St Delia later and in view of your comments, may halve the amounts :) I'm probably only having MIL and SIL to Xmas dinner as other sis is coming "ooop norf" to stay with mum and make the Xmas lunch and much as I love it, I'm still a fairly small Ticklemouse and would like to remain so for a while at least :D

Our recipe has been in the family for well over a hundred years!

It involves, suet, sugar, potatoes and carrots - I kid you not - to name a few.

We make two, and keep one for the next year so it's nice and mature.

  • I can remember using a recipe from Woman's Weekly years ago using carrots, but I've never heard of potatoes!

I've got to nip to the bootsale first to try and find some new pudding bowls :(

I've just been down in the cellar to get mine out and some clown has dropped something heavy on top of the box and every single one is broken - they were all lovely old blue and white cornishware ones too :(

  • Do you know who the clown is? Make sure the punishment is suitable - you might as well your money's worth while they are at it :D
