Hi all,
I have a Canon Pixma MP460 printer and am having problems with the paper feed. I put the new paper in the holder and push the paper right up to the little grey thing on the left, but as soon as the printer starts printing the paper is going in slanted, all over the place and any old way. Are there any buttons or levers or settings to stop it doing this?

Thanks for all and any help.

Most likely you have grime or a dirt build up on the guides. See if you can get a closer look and it need be clean them with a nail brush (must be dry). If they are just worn if the printer is old you can make some score lines to help it grip. But dont damage the rollers too much.

lift the print lid and watch the paper go thru, sometimes after a jam a bit of paper si left in the path and causes this affect
if paper path is clear then its likely one of the little rollers just below and in front of the head is dusty or has lost its rubber tacykness.
i use special rubber restorer called platten cleaner, should be available at maplins but the tin i have has lasted 7 yrs+ and i forgot where i got it

Also if you can get your hands on some thin card, send that through the printer a few times, rough card if possible, it's useful to clean out the paper track.
