It should have gone like this:-

    Q. I would like some advice on which size trousers I should buy. I tried on the largest in the shop but could not do them up.

    A. Why are you so fat? If you cannot manage your food then why bother to buy trousers? - Go on a diet! :)
    This ain't no technological breakdown..
Oh no, this is the road to hell.:(

Did you not read the Forum Etiquette on the right side of your screen? As follows:

Pls be nice to all MoneySavers. There's no such thing as a stupid question, and even if you disagree courtesy helps.

I'm sorry. I didnt mean to be horrible to anyone..., in fact I was trying to demonstrate (obviously unsuccessfully) that certain previous posters can be a bit too blunt. There is common sense in their replies but sometimes a little diplomacy makes the message easier to swallow..

And to the OP, I didnt call you fat. I was trying to stick up for you. It is never too late to reassess your finances, set realistic goals and change your lifestyle for the better. We all make mistakes and only the very lucky few get by without falling on hard times. Good luck with whatever you decide to do.

pressed the thanks button by mistake, but I didn't get the vibe that you were being at all rude or personal.
I'm sure the OP would feel the same.

About the OP, do you think you would loose some of your quality of life if you get a mortgage now. With the market as it is at the moment, I would wait and save if I was you.
I think you are in a cushty situation as the choice is yours, unlike some of the other posters on the forum who have got themselves into dreadful pickles.

My 'hat to you' for your reply.
