NPOWER -Duel Fuel Direct Debit Discount Mistake
Hi,
I have electricty and gas with Npower and should receive a yearly £80.00 discount for paying by direct debit.
I have just checked, as it usually appears on the May electricity bill and have just realised I have only received £20.00
I have rung NPower and they have apologised and will credit the £60.00 difference.
I am sure I am not the only one - Please check your bills as they are high enough without missing discounts you are entitled to!!!!

Hii dolly, youre probably right in saying youre not the only one missing your discount. I work for another energy supplier and there are times when a batch of bills have had the wrong discount because of a computer error. This has always been rectified by putting in a 'fix'. If you're not the only customer with nlmissing discounts if npower put a Fix in I wouldn't be surprised if you get an additional £80! Tbh I don't particularly trust npower but its not unusual for it to happen in the industry.0

Had me worried there for a minute so I rang npower and they confirmed my £80 will be on my next bill...........my only problem now is trying to compare cost of being 'on line' tarriff or 'capped'..............lady on the phone couldn't tell me my on line cost but gave me the capped one. Tried to find out on-line and seems my name, postcode and account number are wrong !!!!Have contacted them for advise/help...............so we wait and see.Mary
I'm creative -you can't expect me to be neat too !

Be carful here! We had someone else's account come up online too, which turned out meant we had paid £40 from this other household's bill. Apparently the meter point reference number was linked to our address but their account. Our own account was also linked to our address, meaning it looked like we were consuming £70 worth of gas rather than £30 per month. The first time I queried it npower completely fobbed me off, but second time around they admitted it and have promised to sort it.
Needless to say we have switched to eon, but still waiting for the refund from npower.:mad:0
