Is this bill normal?! So expensive!
Heyyy there...
I moved into rented accomodation (a 2 bedroom flat) in March.... it's only a 6 month contract, and on the day of moving in we switched the npower into my name for gas & electricity (after giving them a meter reading)...
I just received my bill for the period of 8th March to 9th May, and it seems like it's so much for just 2 months!
Electricity - £183.65
Gas - £151.00
Total - £334.65
During March/April it was absolutely freezing in the flat, and I did speak to the landlord about having to have the heating on all day (there is not much protection against draft...and she did put some filler in some holes after complaining but by then most of the cold weather was over).
We decided that she may pay for some of the bill.... but I just wanted to check first, is this a normal amount or is it quite alot for the 2 month period?
Not sure whether to call her up on this and ask her to pay for some, and if so how much etc... so just thought would see how "normal" the bill is first!
Thanksssssssss

its the high end of the scale for the property
did you use plug in heaters etc as that would be astronomical if used efery day all day0 -
is hard to say - post your readings when you moved in, and also the readings now or from the bill (make sure the ones on the bill aren't estimated!)

I have a poll / discussion on Economy 7 / 10 off-peak usage (as a % or total) and ways to improve it but I'm not allowed to link to it so have a look on the gas/elec forum if you would like to vote or discuss.:cool:0
