Got myself all down about my goal now.

Well my goal is that I wanted to clear my debts and have some money saved so that I could enter into a shared ownership scheme next year, and have my own house.
I have lived in my flat for 3 1/2 years and it is a council one. It is quite nice, but is getting too small for me now, and i want a garden for my cats (i know... how sad! ).
Anyway, having just thought about things i think i will need around £10K for a deposit and fees (at least) and i just cant see myself doing that.
im now very down. I know i have done well so far, but to be honest I am running out of things to ebay, so doubt i will be debt free by the end of this year, let alone able to start saving.
Sorry... just needed to let it all out i think.

Big hugs to you.
We all have down days, but just look how far you've come since joining DFW. Have a coffee/tea and relax for a little while and then face it with fresh eyes again.
You're not alone x:rotfl:I'm Cosmo, Cosmo Kramer! :rotfl:0 -
Amy, sending you a hug. :grouphug:
Get onto the make an extra £10 a day thread. Lots of good ideas there. Sign up for mystery shopping, take on a second job, sign up for all the clicks you can it will all mount up. There's nothing wrong with wanting a bit more space for you and your pets. Take another look at what stuff you have, and if you don't think you've got stuff suitable to ebay but have other stuff why not do a car boot?CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. Just seen your signature (I should wear my glasses!), I see you're already signed up for the extra tenner a day thread. Only other thing I can think of is going over your SOA again and seeing if you can shave off a few pennies to help you towards your goal. Remember Quidco too for cashback.CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. Thanks unixgirluk and Katy.
Unfortunately i dont have a lot of stuff, all of the bits i didnt use etc. i have already sold.
My SOA is on the bare minimum at the moment, and i am living on as little as possible. I am even walking the tube journey as soon as my travel card needs redoing (middle of this month) to save £50 a month. :T
I have signed up to a few things using Quidco, and have £100 to come in August, and i know my sister owes me £600. But you know when you just feel stuck i suppose???

But you're doing so well!!!
Everyone feels like df day is never going to come every now and then. You're a star. Your signature is brilliant, it's only June 2nd and you've already got nearly £100 on the £10 a day challenge. And £50 a month is another £600 a year plus think how fit you'll be.CCs @0% £24k Dec 05 £19,621.41 Au £13400 S 12600 Oct £11,981 £9481 £7500 Nov £7250 D £7100 Jan 6950 F £5800 Mar£5400 May £4830 June £4660 July £4460 Aug £3200, S £900, £0 18/9/07 DFW Nerd 0420 -

Yeah I know how you feel, I feel like I'm treading water with my debt at the moment and to hear my OH earlier saying "its for us you know paying the debt off as soon as we can", didn't help but at least I know its going in the right direction. What about getting an extra job or mystery shopping?CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. Thanks everyone.
I cant really get another job as i work long hours with this one (i do 4 hours a day travelling!), and as for weekends, i know its selfish but i like them to be free for me time. I get so wrapped up in work during the week i need some time off.
Its probably just an off day. And also i have a neck/headache which i have no ascertained is not from sleeping akwardly but from some sort of cut on the back of my head which i must of done in my sleep

I completely sympathise. I used to commute from Northants to London everyday and that was a 3 1/2 hour round trip. It was getting me down as I never had any time for me or OH. I was lucky enough to find a job nearer home and I'm actually £100 a month better off after taking off my train fare (Upwards of £5k a year  )
Have you looked closer to home to ease the stress of commutting?:rotfl:I'm Cosmo, Cosmo Kramer! :rotfl:0
