scam e-mails

this week i have recieved 3 e-mails asking me to confirm bank details from various places plus one claiming i had inherited some money i haven't done anything stupid like clicked on the links or anything i was wondering if there was a site like trading standards or something that i should forward these onto

    which banks were they refering to? im not sure but i think the banks mighte be interested.....just a guess....

    I wouldn't really bother wasting any time other than hitting the delete button. For a start you have to find the bank concerned, then find a phishing reporting service on that site; and then hope they follow them up. So unless you want to spend half your life following them up, no!

    Part of life getting these emails, and you will get 100's if not 1000's more.

    It's not exactly time consuming typing a bank name into google then navigating that site to find out the anti-fraud email address...

    For every person who receives this email and has their wits about them there's bound to be someone on an off day or who has little experience who will click the link and enter the information.

    I would like to think that on my off day I wouldn't get an email because the person who got it before me reported it and had the phisher stopped...
