I sent back my IB50 end of october and have still not heard anything about a medical. I ahve phoned and been told there is a back log but know somone else who send IB50 back about smae time as me and she had medical about 8-10 weeks ago. I know I should not worry as I am still getting paid but all the evidence I got like a letter from cpn and forms my doc had to fill in will be months old by teh time they look at it just wondering if they will wnat them updates again ?
Anyone else waited this long for a medical comging up for 5 months

they may have decided tht they have enough info on ur med conditon ,and will not ask u to attend a medical
even if u do go for a medical the out come may mean tht u still r able to recieve IB
do not stress ur self out about not going for a medical

I dont think they will want further written updates, but if they feel they cannot make a decision on the information they have they may call you for a medical. It does seem a long time to wait to see if you are going to have a medical.0

thanks for replies. It does seem a long time but I just keep getting told they have backlog and not to worry as money still getting paid. Would liek it sorted one way or another though

I haven't had a medical either - but have been told that the case will be reviewed in September and then a medical may be required.0

it appears that IB50s are taking longer and longer to process, and months rather than weeks is now the norm,as others have said an IB50 doesnt automatically mean a medical,if they have all the info needed then you wont need one.0
