A friend of ours is distraught over the loss of her cockatoo in the Lancashire area.

Peggy, Medium Sulphur Crested Cockatoo, got out of her cage and out of the window, 10.00am, saturday 31st May in the South Valley drive area of Colne, Lancashire.

She is a large white Too and hand tame and very friendly, please contact this number 07967554512 if you know anything about her whereabouts.

  • Hi I hope Peggy Sue is re united very soon.
Could you change the topic title..Perhaps to Lost Cockatoo?
It is more informative/attention grabbing? More people might read and see the link.

Good Luck to all involved, beautiful bird.

What a beautiful cockatoo, I hope she flies home soon. There are a few tips (including mine) on another recent thread.

With the warmer weather, it's a good warning to all of us with birds not to leave windows/doors open. It's so easily done.

    Hi there paulam34

I know what your friend is going through, ours escaped on the 18.05.08 and is still 'flying free'.
The good news is everyone is still seeing him and he is looking well and feeding in several peoples gardens but as yet we are unable to get him. I think he is enjoying the warm weather too much.
Good luck for your friend, i hope he comes home soon.

    Thanks
    Vics

  • Good luck to Vics and anyone losing their bird.
I saw your other posts, tried to reply but I messed up!
There is a parrot forum i visit, it has quite a big lost and found section, with a whole helpful information section on finding lost birds, and capture etc.
I hope a link is all right, sorry if not please remove.
The link to the section is too long but can be found easily under Lost and Found.
