a low price especially seen it has a few potentially expensive faults....work permit granted!0

auction - with known faults that might be the best no comeback solution - if not the best price..Praying at the church of MSE should be compulsory!

I have the parkers book, a private sale is £3200 or part ex trade in is £2900
Anyone guess what it would go for in auction?:beer:0 -
With those faults, £1750?0

most hassle free ways would be either auction, as suggested. or take it to a local second hand car dealer and take whatever price they offer you.
both ways are hassle free but would not fetch the best price. The difference between genius and stupidity is that genius has its limits0 -
The hassle free way to sell a car is to repair every fault on it, wash and wax it, and generally make it look brand new to potential purchasers.0

According to British Car Auction Statistics on average you get 3.6% more for your car at auction, even taking into account the cost of professional repairs, if you prepare it properly as above.
Across the whole business BCA resell something like 1/4 million cars a year at electronic and physical auction.
This is not necessarily hassle free, https://www.webuyanycar.com is another place you can try and "dump" it.0 -
thank you all, anyone know how to fix a whole in the carpet?:beer:0
