can i,am i allowed?

hi all, :) first post....my son has been left some money in a will, it is in a trust fund(which is locked untill he is 18). Now the person that left him the money had already placed it with scottish widows "guranteed investment". my first question is :is this a good plan? is it worth sticking with them? are there any better companys his money could be with? are there any other scheme's where his money would be doing better but still locked till he is 18? and i suppose the main question is..am i allowed to move his money or does it have to stay with the scottish widows? oh by the way its £3000 and he has 11yrs till he is 18............ thanks for any help.......... this site is top's its my homepage from now on... yipeeeee  :D

The trustees have to do what is best for the beneficiary and be seen to do what is best. Usually this means seeking independent financial advice. However, having taken out that plan, I doubt that independent advice was sought.
